home organization

Ahhhh - January. It’s the beginning of a new year and everyone feels they need a fresh start. It’s the most popular time of the year to get organized in our homes. These items will allow you to find a permanent place for several areas of your home and even your car.

Laundry tote:

No one likes to do laundry but maybe this tote will provide some encouragement with its whimsical message. The “plan to do” wording cheers the homeowner on to this pile of dirty as well as telling others in the home it’s on your agenda (wink wink)

Sink Caddy

Like most people, my dish sponge and scrubbies always seem to be in the sink causing odors and clutter nonstop. Or the opposite - when I need them, I can’t find them! This cute and stylish caddy provides a home for all things dishes as well as making a decor statement beside your sink.

Plastic bag organizer

This is the organizing item you didn’t think you needed but once you own it you wonder how you lived without it. Plastic bag storage has never been neater and nicer in your drawer. Easy to refill and the bamboo material makes it pleasing to the eye when opening the drawer. “What’s that dear - you need a quart size bag? I know just where it is!”

Plastic bins

These baskets made by Sterlite are the BEST for closet and pantry organization. They are heavy duty and can hold a ton. Plus they come in a variety of sizes. Easy to slide out from a shelf and you can still sneak a peak on what’s inside with the holes on the sides. Nothing fancy but extremely durable and practical.

Power Strip with USB

Technology is great and all but with multiple individuals in your house with multiple devices, the charging cords can get out of control! Enter this power cube by Anker. One per person and all their devices should charge on ONE cord. Time to clean up the charging area!

The Home Edit Book series

Imagine this - every single space in your house having the potential to function efficiently and look great at the same time! This book by home organizers, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin walk you through paring down your belongings in every room, arranging them in a stunning and easy-to-find way.

In addition to their book series, Clea and Joanna have also created a workbook filled with 52 challenges for every room—from clearing out a junk drawer to measuring your cabinet for storage bins to arranging the apps on your phone by color. The workbook is structured so you can tackle one challenge a week or breeze through your whole home in a few months. Perfect for the person who needs that “to do” list in order to get things done!

Shelf Dividers

If you are the type of person who likes stacks of things - this organizational tool is for you. These handy plastic dividers keep stacks of stuff nice and tidy on those long closet shelves. Just slide them on the shelf to make a nice smaller compartment for holding folded items.

Refrigerator Bins

Even the nicest refrigerators cannot give us the organizational needs every family desires. This set of plastic bins allows you to create function for your family and since they are clear there’s no guessing what’s inside. And a plus - they are stackable.

Multi-Hanger system

This multi-hanging system is simple yet effective. This hanger allows you to create more space in your closet by going vertical instead of horizontal. Got a college student? This is perfect for dorm rooms with small closets!

Water Bottle Storage

Multiple people equal multiple water bottles in most households. There’s never been an easier way to store those bottles than this cabinet organizer. Think wine bottle meets water bottle. This set comes with two stackable layers suitable for most cabinets, but for taller cabinets you can buy more and keep stacking.

Grocery Trunk Organizer

With higher gas prices, errands have had to be consolidated into one trip rather than multiple trips. This insulated trunk organizer is perfect to allow you the time and flexibility of multiple errands at one time. The organizer can fold flat then not in use and extends to 3 different sizes! Plus when you get one you only have one large tote to bring inside instead of trying to finagle all those plastic bags in one trip.

Don’t let this January pass you buy without considering organizing one space in your home. Who knows, it may inspire you to keep going. A de-cluttered space just feels good.
